Cracked or contaminated cups are the fastest visual check when gas coverage is poor.

2. Match collet to tungsten

Loose tungsten usually points to the wrong collet size or a worn collet before the whole torch is bad.

3. Verify gas lens or collet body

If the arc is unstable or gas coverage is poor, confirm the front-end style before buying parts.
