Use the machine path when matching power source packages, controls, and coolers. Use the torch path when matching cups, collets, gas lenses, tungsten, and back caps.
Find by machine family
Start with Maxstar, Syncrowave, or Dynasty when the power source model is known.
Find by torch series
Use WP-9, WP-17, WP-20, WP-26, A-series, or W-series when the torch body is known.
Find by symptom
Use short TIG flows for unstable arc, poor gas coverage, torch overheating, and tungsten splitting.

What to check first
Unstable arc
Inspect tungsten contamination first. Verify collet tightness. Inspect cup or gas lens seating. Verify shielding gas flow.
Poor gas coverage
Inspect cup condition. Verify gas lens seating. Check flow rate. Inspect hose or fitting leaks.
Torch overheating
Verify cooling system on water-cooled setups. Inspect torch cable and handle heat. Check amperage against torch class. Verify front-end consumable fitment.
Tungsten splitting
Verify polarity. Verify amperage. Inspect shielding gas coverage. Confirm tungsten type and diameter.
Verify torch series before ordering
TIG front-end parts are not universal. Match the torch series, tungsten diameter, gas lens or standard setup, and cooling requirement before ordering. Amazon links remain optional buying references only and are not used as compatibility truth.
